Be The Hero Others See You To Be

hero definition.png

You may not be the President of the United States, the CEO of Facebook, or an NBA Champion, but trust me, at least one person sees you as a positive leader and uses your life as an example to follow. It is your responsibility to show up and keep growing as that positive leader, for both you and those that follow you.

It may not be 1,000,000 people, hell, it may not even be 10, but there's at least 1. The quantity of people who look up to you is irrelevant. What is relevant is the power you have to change life from individual to individual.

Think of your own life for a second, and the people you look up to. For me, that's people like Kobe and Tony Robbins. The impact these leaders have on my life is immense. And the things I've learned and done because of their presence in my life is fucking massive. I'm just ONE of the BILLIONS of people they've touched. The point is that in just the 1 (me) it's made a fucking crazy difference.

So, for your ONE, it is the same case.

1,000,000 just means one millions ONES. And although that's beautiful and awesome to have a million, it's really each individual ONE that matters, not the egotistical feeling of 1,000,000.

ONE. You have ONE follower, ONE fan, who sees you as their hero and uses you to help them grow. That is who you are! THAT'S YOU!

Thus, your goals are no longer just about your personal fulfillment. There's more on the line than that. Other's growth depends on your growth. When you reach a new level in life, you have paved a path for others to reach a new level as well.

You MUST show up. Just as I expect Kobe and Tony to show up, your ONE follower expects you to show up. Not in a "authority" type of way, but in the sense that they TRUST you and DEPEND on you to show up as the hero you are.

Not to mention, ONE person becomes two, becomes three, becomes 100, becomes 1,000,000. KEEP showing up and more people will show up too.

In the picture above, someone had a blog reading binging spree the last couple days. I have no idea who this person is or how they found my blog. But, it's clear that they are interested in what I have to say and are engrossed in what the value they are receiving.

The point here is that although you may not know who it is, especially if you are not yet Beyonce status, there ARE people watching you. They're LEARNING from you. YOU are a teacher, leader, mentor, and coach to these people.

You may not feel it. You may not receive the likes, comments, and reviews that validate your hero status to others. Trust me, it's there.

SHOW UP. KEEP SHOWING UP. Your followers, both present and future are watching. They trust you and depend on you to keep showing up.

Accept it, you are a hero.

I love you,
