Literally Stop Caring About Views, Likes, Shares, & Sales For The First Year

This is for all my people who are on the road to personal success through some type of entrepreneurial endeavor. You could be a writer, dancer, business man, cook, life coach, singer, video game streamer, or something else, if you've decided to take life into your own hands and make a living through your own business or service - I FEEL YOU. It ain't easy, especially starting out, and nobody seems to really care.

Where are the likes? The views? The sales? A lack of them can make you feel unappreciated, underrated, and possibly make you feel like quitting.

I'm reading "Expert Secrets" by Russell Brunson right now. The book is about helping people share their life experiences and special skills in a way that has them create (ideally) million dollar businesses. It's a fantastic read and Brunson is highly backed by uber successful men like Tony Robbins (THE personal development leader, worth over $500M) and Robert Kiyosaki (author of best seller "Rich Dad Poor Dad", a book about being rich).

There's a line from "Expert Secrets" where Brunson explains that early on, your goal should not be to get views, likes, or sales when it comes to making content and sharing your talents online. He explains that at first, the purpose of consistently creating and sharing is to find your voice. My secondary advice is that early on it's also about getting in the habit of creating content and learning how to get all this done efficiently.

I've made a personal decision that I am no longer going to give a flying fuck about likes, views, shares, and sales for at LEAST the first year. Why? Cause an attachment to any significant meaning of those things only hinders me, and disempowers me.

THIS IS GOING TO A LONG JOURNEY, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. We're talking YEARS. YEARS.

PLUS. It's not like it's going to end when we finally get recognition. The level of responsibilities, demand, and expectations will only INCREASE.

And so, the goal isn't to get views or likes or sales or any of that shit.

The goal is to simply KEEP GOING. That's the fucking goal.

Do what you love. Have fun. Keep going.

I'll see yall at the top.

Much love,

GS
