It's officially been 17 days since I first began training with Elite24. Led by Extreme Adventure Atheletes, Randy and Andre, my body and mind have already gone to a new level in terms of fitness, nutrition, and overall health.

In the last 17 days I've done the following:

food 1.png
  • hiked up Mt. Wilson: 5,000+ feet of elevation, ~10+ hours
  • completed a daily Workout Of The Day (WOD); typically a HIIT workout (high-intensity interval training)
  • transformed my food and water intake, 85% balanced, nutritious meals; 15% me treating myself to reward foods and such
  • complete three insane boot camps where we sprint on sand & up hills, jump up and down in all kinds of ways, slam battle ropes, and so much more
  • be held 100% accountable to my fitness and nutrition goals
  • lost 5+ pounds of fat, if not more
  • don't know my body fat%, but I'm positive I lost at least 2-3 percentage points, from 20% down to 17% or so
  • and more!!

Obviously the tangible results have been amazing. What's just as valuable though, in my opinion, is the benefit of being around and associating with the individuals of this Elite24 group.

These people are 100% dedicated to their health and fitness goals. They eat, breathe, and sleep the lifestyle required to make those goals happen. As they say, if you hang out with five millionaires you'll become the sixth millionaire. Same thing applies here. As I hang out with these healthy, fit minded (and action oriented) people, I become the next one up!

Something I'm also enjoying very much is the impact this is all having on my basketball game! 17 days ago, any time I'd play basketball I'd get winded by the second or third game. In fact, one time I literally ran out of explosive power in my legs and couldn't drive or move quickly at all. It was actually sad as hell. BUT NOW, now I am a transformed basketball player!

I can run up and down the court, almost full speed, all day long. My legs do not run out of power. I have more strength, energy, and stamina to lead my team. It's one thing to be the emotional or vocal leader. It's another thing to be the athletic leader. The combination of both is what separates the great from the good.

Now, I'll be real in that this is pick-up basketball, not the 2018 NBA Finals. Still, my competitive nature is such that these pick-up games mean something to me. I make it my personal responsibility to win each game. I use these games to exercise my leadership. It's fun as f*ck!

16 days ago, when the first boot camp was over, I was regretting my decision to spend $50 and commit 30 days of my life to this program. I was suffering mentally, physically, and emotionally. I had just put my body through something it hasn't done in a while...and there were 29 more days to go at that.

Not only am I glad I stayed with it, but I'm actually enjoying the shit out of it!

Cheers! To the next 13 days and beyond!
